πŸ“ Join us for an in-depth, hands-on workshop led by Prof. Dr Rob Wilby (Loughborough University, UK) and Prof. Dr Gordana Kranjac Berisavljevic (University for Development Studies, Ghana) on how to better understand and adapt to the growing risks of extreme heat.

This workshop will provide a primer on the drivers and increasing threats of extreme heatwaves, from global trends to local urban impacts. Featuring a case study from Ghana, will explore how mixed methods approaches can help evaluate health

risks and the effectiveness of household-scale adaptations.

Through open discussions and hands-on exercises, participants will gain:

βœ… Practical experience with heat vulnerability assessments

βœ… Use of early-stage overheating risk tools for buildings

βœ… Insights into the role of AI in adaptation decision-making

We’ll conclude with a facilitated group discussion on the strengths and limitations of the tools presented.
