During my 1-month secondment, UAB and SWPS collaborated to design and pilot an experiment aimed at exploring the impact of eliciting joint attention to improve shared understanding and urgency regarding climate change. To achieve this, we developed a pre- and post-questionnaire using Qualtrics to gather data on various factors including demographics (e.g., size of place of residence, level of education, sense of self-efficacy), climate attitudes, political orientation, sense of psychological distance, and conspiracist mindset.

In addition to the questionnaires, we planned an eye-tracking experiment to elicit joint attention, which will enable the triangulation of results. The study is set to be conducted in both Warsaw and Barcelona.
