At ICCHP 2026, a special session will bring focus to the future of AI-enhanced immersive media environments.

The session chairs are Estella Oncins and Sarah McDonagh from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and Iris Serrat-Roozen from Universidad de Valencia.

The theme centres on how artificial intelligence can support the design of virtual and immersive environments that are more accessible, inclusive, user-centred, and sustainable. It also opens important questions about participation, ethics, regulation, trust, and the broader societal impact of immersive technologies across fields such as education, healthcare, cultural heritage, and tourism.

A timely and highly relevant discussion for everyone interested in the intersection of AI, accessibility, inclusion, and immersive innovation.
