Sarah Anne McDonagh, from the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asia Studies at TransMedia Catalonia, UAB, participated in the webinar “Digital Inclusion and Accessibility: Leaving No One Behind in Virtual Worlds and the Citiverse”, held as part of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD 2025) and co-organized by ITU and UAB.
During the event, experts explored innovative strategies to ensure that digital technologies are accessible to all, addressing key challenges, best practices, and policies that are shaping a more inclusive digital future.
Sarah presented key ideas from a deliverable approved in 2023, which focused on ensuring sustainability and accessibility in the metaverse.
Krzysztof Krejtz from SWPS and Pilar Orero from UAB also took part in the webinar as speakers.
